I am the Branch Manager for our Oistins and Speightstown branches.

  • Our branch was initially located in the Northern Business Centre then moved down the street to the Town Square Mall. We then later moved to our current location in the Northern Business Centre.

  • Speightstown was named after wealthy merchant William Speight, who originally owned all the land where the town is located.

  • Prince Albert Street is named after Queen Victoria's son, Prince Albert, whose boat docked at Speightstown in 1861.

  • Speightstown is home to one of the oldest churches in Barbados, the St. Peter's Parish Church, built in the 1630s

  • The town was once a busy port shipping goods to Bristol, England. Due to the close trade relationship with Bristol, Speightstown was called "Little Bristol."

  • Speightstown had several military forts to protect the island from English Troops during the Civil War in Barbados during the 1650s.

  • Speightstown is a tranquil town, but its beaches and historic architecture make it a great spot to enjoy
